Vertical Farming is the practice of growing crops in vertically stacked layers, typically in a controlled indoor environment. Unlike traditional horizontal farming, it relies on technology to replace soil, sunlight, and rain, allowing food to be grown anywhere—from a skyscraper in Tokyo to a shipping container in the desert.

Year-Round Production: Since the climate is controlled (24/7 "perfect summer"), a vertical farm can produce up to 30 times more food per acre of land than a traditional farm.
